During undergrad, I created a fashion blog (before influencers and blogging were a thing) as a project for one of my journalism classes. It allowed me to express myself not only through words but creatively as I wanted to share my opinions on trends, good "dupes," and how I liked to dress for school.
Writing was always something I found therapeutic though. Through poetry, essay writing, blogging, journaling, etc. I escaped to a judgment-free like space, only focusing on how I felt or what I thought about certain topics. I did it for myself and released my feelings onto paper. Through therapy, this became more important as I was struggling with a traumatic relationship, failing friendships, and deteriorating self-image.
After taking a step away from writing and working on myself, I've come back to this open space to express myself and if you find yourself resonating with the content, even better.
